Elections Canada has divided our country into 308 Federal Electoral Districts. Edmonton Centre electoral district has a population of 120,326 with 89,777 registered voters and 252 polling divisions.  See a map of the Edmonton Constituency.

Each political party within an electoral district can form an association (EDA) with an elected board of directors.  The primary function of an EDA is to seek an individual to represent their political party and to run as a candidate in a Federal Election to become the MP of the electoral district.  The board will continue to assist the candidate or MP with publicity, fundraising and special events.

Other functions of the EDA are to increase awareness of the Party to the public and provide input to the National Party.  For efficiency, Edmonton Centre EDA has selected Committees to take charge of various functions of the board.  The committees of the Edmonton Centre EDA are:  Policy, Membership, Communications, Fundraising, and Election Readiness.
